Welcome to The Nest: Treatment space in San Francisco

Our goal in taking on this challenge was to create a treatment space in San Francisco for rehab therapists including speech therapists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to be able to work autonomously and have more options for supplemental income. Therapists are welcome to bring their own clients into the space, or if they wish make a schedule available through our booking system for interested clients.

The treatment space consists of a large shared exercise and fitness area and several smaller offices/treatment rooms. The common space includes a fully outfitted strength and conditioning setup with many tools for mobilization.  Individual rooms either have doors for full privacy or semi-private individual rooms with optional curtain closures. Each room designed for physical therapists has a treatment table, a desk, a stool, and a white board. Internet is included. For Speech Therapists there will be a larger desk, an iPad with some common apps, white boards. There is a shared kitchen and a printer. All of this is included in the rent. 

So why The Nest Physical Therapy and Speech Pathology and not a more inclusive name, like rehab? Our first name was Rehab but the state regulations of California require the words “physical therapy” in the title of a PT corporation.

Long term, we would love to use this site to attract clients and patients and allow them to choose a therapist that fits their needs, and book or contact them directly through the site, much like a hair salon or other similar system. We look forward to collaborating and hearing what others think though! This is new for us and we want this to be a treatment space in San Francisco for autonomous practice with an element of collaboration.
